Our Programs

This program is designed to support and encourage the growth of the whole child, spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically.

We follow the state mandated guidelines established by Bright from the Start for childcare providers who are exempt from licensure. Hours for all classes will be 9am to 1pm on the days they meet.

Infants

The Infant program focuses on various aspects of learning such as nonverbal communication, gross motor skills and socialization. It is our goal to give your baby an excellent place to grow and thrive.

Children 6 weeks to 23 months may be enrolled 1 or 2 days per week.

We are here to help make the transition from home to school as smooth as possible. You’ll see that our infant room has a nurturing, “home away from home: look and feel."

The benefits of our Infant Care program include:

One-on-one interactions with staff members (including holding and cuddling)
Opportunities to exercise large and small muscles doing activities like rolling over, kicking, sitting, crawling, reaching, and grasping
Diapers are checked regularly and changed as needed

Toddlers and Two Year Olds

Our Toddler and Two year old program helps to promote independence and develop each child’s unique character. We make sure to create an engaging world where your toddler can learn and explore. Toddlers that are 2 years old may be enrolled 2, 3 and 5 days per week.

Toddlers are always moving and becoming more expressive as they discover their world. We create an environment for them to move and explore. Our teachers will provide a routine of engaging learning opportunities to encourage important developmental skills such as problem-solving, coordination, and self-help.

The benefits of our Toddler Care program include:

Opportunities to assist children in practicing and increasing their expressive language skills
Daily activities to encourage large motor and fine motor skills including running, jumping, climbing, scribbling, puzzles, and playdough
Teachers can assist with toilet learning

Preschool

Our main academic focus throughout the preschool classes will be on letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and emerging literacy skills. The teachers will provide opportunities to develop skills in all these areas, both in the physical environment and in the small and large group activities.

Math concepts such as patterning, and one to one correspondence will also be a part of the weekly lesson plans. In addition, free choice time or “Centers” will also provide may new learning experiences that will help to build confidence and independence in your child.

Preschool is open to children who will be 3 or 4 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year. Children who are 3 may be enrolled 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Children who are 4 may be enrolled 4 or 5 days per week.

The benefits of our Preschool Program include:

Literacy and language activities include language skills, spoken words, written words, group stories, and some sign language
The children learn to take personal responsibility for their own physical needs and are encouraged to try new and challenging tasks
Beginning math concepts like counting, sorting, sequencing and patterns.

Kindergarten

Our Kindergarten program is tailored to each student's individual needs with personalized pace and content. Kindergarten is open to children who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1st of the school year and may be enrolled 5 days per week.

We currently use the Saxon Phonics curriculum along with Every Day Math Counts and Houghton-Mifflin for math. We also use Abeka for science and social studies. We believe each child is unique and through love and encouragement, all children will find joy and satisfaction in their work and play.

Our Curriculum Extras
